OLN 'Countdown'



Eyeball and Expansion Team Deliver "Countdown" for OLN
Outdoor Life Network's ongoing series that counts down the most outstanding people and stories in the world of outdoor and adventure sports.




NEW YORK September, 2004 - Design-based production company Eyeball and music company, Expansion Team recently teamed-up to produce "Countdown," a TV show package consisting of over 100 elements for Outdoor Life Network's ongoing series that counts down the most outstanding people and stories in the world of outdoor and adventure sports. EyeballNYC was responsible for the design, concept, animation and edit of the production. Expansion Team's Michael Picton, recently name as the winner of the 2004 Turner Classics Movies Young Film Composers Competition, composed the music.

Completely devoid of color, "Countdown" hints at the epic feats of accomplished athletes through the use of larger than life typographical elements combined with CG and photography. Associate creative director, Andrea Dionisio, who led the project, added that, "We felt that the use of the black and white photography would support the epic nature of the programming".

Michael Magnotta, OLN's VP and Creative Director of On-Air comments, "The Countdown package was stunning. The spots and packaging stood out among million dollar spots during the Tour de France. OLN's goal was to raise the production bar for shows and promotions and Eyeball and Expansion Team set a new standard."
