The Source 'Back to School'

Fresh Like The First Day of School
A Beautiful Mix of Live Action and Motion Graphics for the Canadian Electronics Retailer.

NEW YORK August, 2007 - Canadian Electronics Retailer 'The Source' approached Eyeball for a 3rd round of branding. The 2 previous spots showcased the store in time for Christmas '06 and spring '07. This time eyeball set about preparing the spot 'Back to School'.

Eyeball created 2 beautiful :30 spots combining live action, studio shot cinematography and detailed graphics. "We wanted the composited graphics to feel very natural in the spot. We chose to shoot scenes of product interaction that highlighted the movements we were looking for. This allowed the particles of fragmented colors to play off both the talent and the musical score in unison." says Lead designer Kazz Ishihara.

Eyeball set about Working through as much of the movement as they could in-camera. This approach allowed for natural movements that often seem forced in composited locked-off shots. The amount of fine detail included in the graphics lent itself to developing a visual language that rode the line between high-tech and organic.

In the end Eyeball delivers yet another dynamic promotion proving that as far as quality design and production go, for this electronics retailer they are 'The Source'.
